welcome to a spiral world

“Herspiral” I say to folks, giving them my email or web address. Then I spell it out, and just to make sure, at the end I say “As in a spiral belonging to a woman.” They always seem to know what that means.

Art has been interpreted as being linear for far too long. What Buddhism, or the contemplative aspect, has to bring back to art is a sense of natural cycles, of circles, of the feminine - though certainly not just for women. Regaining balance, an appreciation for process and a joy in perception are key to all of my classes and retreats.

Please visit my pages to find out more about my classes or art. There’s Miksang contemplative photography, which I both practice and teach. Then there’s Contemplative Writing. As well as recommended books, you’ll find links to favorite websites and my teaching schedule.

Please contact me if you have any questions at all.
